Making of FRESH
FRESH is a personal project that has been in pre-production for over a year. The already assembled cast has been waiting to begin shooting for the same amount of time. A few months ago we managed to accumulate the funding and finally decided to go ahead with the shoot.
Working on FRESH was sometimes a real challenge, as I went from making my previous film with just one actor to working with a cast of 15. We had done rehearsals but not too intensely as I wanted to capture as much spontaneity as possible on camera - something which should come across in almost every scene of the film.
At times it was a stressful experience (fire fighters called, crew being late, hungry and restless youngsters). However, it was such a rewarding experience and I’m really pleased with the final outcome. I must thank the entire cast & crew for their hard work. A specific mention must go to the lead actor Alban Doshi who showed maturity beyond his years and a real professional attitude in his approach. I’ve learned a lot from making this film and look forward to working with some of the cast again in the future. The trailer for FRESH will be out soon.
